The network of health facilities

As at 01.01.2016, the population is provided with inpatient care by 54 hospital facilities, which deployed 11,134 beds, including Regional Hospital with 746 beds, Children's Hospital with 450 beds, 6 city hospitals with 900 beds, the hospital ambulance with 310 beds, hospital for veterans of World War II with 220 beds. In addition, there are 12 specialized hospitals with 904 beds, 3 district hospitals of intensive care with 615 beds, 5 hospitals of the planned treatment with 443 beds, 19 District Hospitals with 3536 beds, 2 maternity hospitals with 210 beds, two psychiatric hospitals with 1610 beds, six dispensaries with 1160 beds, the narcological hospital with 30 beds. 33 primary health care centers give the outpatient care to the population of the region, comprising 322 medical dispensaries and 856 health posts, 42 clinics, consisting hospitals, 8 clinics, 8 dental clinics. In addition, 8 health centers, two children's homes, 5 other institutions functions in the region.


The work of polyclinic

The primary health care centers and counseling polyclinics give the outpatient care to the population of the region. Following the 2015, the number of visits to medical polyclinics was stabilized, which as of 01.01.2016 year is 72.2 thousand on 10 thousand of the population. Compared with the previous period, the number of doctor visits at home decreased by 3.5%, that is 6556.5 on 10 thousand of the population.


Hospitalization forms of medical care

As at 01.01.2016, the full-time department hospitals are operated in health care field with total capacity of 3732 beds, including 142 beds for children, aged from 0 to 17 years old. Supply of hospital bed days in 2015 is 23.3 against to 23.6 for 10 thousand people in 2014. Every year, more than 133.1 thousand patients are treated in bed day hospitals, 7.0 thousand people of which are the children. The level of hospitalization in day care hospitals is 83.0 per 1,000 population.         


A stationary care

The stationary health care sector is functioning in the region and it is actively reformed in areas of structural - functional restructuring, the reducing of excessive beds, the improving of quality control and standardization of care.

As at 01.01.2016, 520 beds were reduced, including 70 beds in tertiary institutions, 450 beds in institutions of secondary level (including regional specialized institutions).

The power of hospital bed fund at 01.01.16 of the region is 10,770 beds, including the secondary level - 6139 beds. The level of availability of the beds of day-night hospitals in the whole region is 67.2 against the last year - 69.7 per 10 thousand people, speaking about the beds of tertiary care - that is 27.1, at the secondary level - 40.1 per 10 thousand people.

After the transferring of Vinnitsa Regional integral property complexes " Hospital century in Jmerinka" , "Hospital century in Kozyatyn" , "Nodal Clinical Hospital century in Vinnitsa" and "Line station Hospital in Vapniarka" from state ownership to joint ownership of territorial communities, the total bed fund is 11,134 beds, including the beds at the secondary levels of care - 6928. The availability of beds in the region is 69.4 per 10 thousand people, including beds at the secondary level - 43.2 per 10 thousand people.

As at 01.01.2016, 54 hospital establishments provide specialized medical assistance with a total capacity of 11,134 hospital beds.

During 2015, 343.2 thousand patients were treated in the hospitals in the region, which is on 1.0% more than in 2014. The average length of stay of the patient on the bed remains relatively stable,10.7 days against 11.0 days in 2014. The fatality rates in the whole region during this period, as in 2014, amounted to 1, 0%. The cardiovascular diseases (23.6%) predominate in the structure of pathology of hospitalized adults, respiratory (7.8%) and digestive system (9.0%), injuries and poisoning (7.2%).
